Description
The proposed poster is based on my educational experience in 1st Model High School of Athens (Gennadeio) where I am in charge of a theater group. Ι will present the benefits of theater through the educational act at the high school level. Ιn particular, I will focus on the experimental application of theater that is implemented in our school in collaboration with the Τheater Studies Department of the Νational Κapodistrian University of Athens. The purpose of my presentation is to reflect on the essential inclusion of theater education in greek secondary education.

Effrosini Zacharatou holds a Master of Arts from the Department of Modern Greek of the University of Athens and is a graduate of the Department of Philology of the University of Crete. She has been awarded a distinction as a scholarship holder by the State Scholarship Foundation. Mrs Zacharatou teaches Greek Language and Literature at the 1st Model Lyceum of Athens - “Gennadeio” implementing innovative teaching techniques. She has cooperated in syllabus writing with the Center for the Greek Language, she has attended numerous seminars and has participated in educational programs. She has also cooperated with the Educational Policy Institute as a trainer for the new Literature Curricula. Ηer research interests include Greek literature and language, Theatre, Latin Language, Comparative Philology and innovative educational actions.
