Code of Conduct

The school's organizers are committed to providing a welcoming, inclusive, safe, and productive environment for all participants. We expect all attendees, lecturers, students, organizers, and volunteers to contribute to a professional atmosphere that promotes scientific exchange, collaboration, and mutual respect.

Expected Behavior

Participants are expected to:

  • Treat all members of the community with respect, courtesy, and professionalism.
  • Foster an environment that encourages open scientific discussion and the free exchange of ideas.
  • Respect diverse viewpoints, experiences, and backgrounds.
  • Give appropriate credit to the work, ideas, data, software, and contributions of others.
  • Comply with applicable laws, venue regulations, and conference policies.
  • Respect requests regarding photography, recording, and the sharing of unpublished scientific results.

 

Unacceptable Behavior

The following behaviors are not acceptable:

  • Harassment, discrimination, intimidation, or bullying in any form.
  • Offensive or degrading verbal comments related to gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, disability, age, physical appearance, race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, career stage, or any other personal characteristic.
  • Unwelcome sexual attention, inappropriate physical contact, or unwelcome advances.
  • Deliberate disruption of talks, discussions, meetings, or conference activities.
  • Threatening, abusive, or hostile behavior.
  • Recording, photographing, or distributing unpublished material against the wishes of the presenter.
  • Sustained disruption of scientific discussions or online communication channels.


The meeting will follow the European Astronomical Society Council (EAS) Ethics Statement and Guidelines for Good Practice and expects all participants to read and abide by these statements.
