Conference Venue
The History Museum of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (Tholou 5 Street, Plaka, Athens)
o This is within 10-12 minutes (on foot) from the Acropolis Museum (and the Acropolis metro stop — line 2), Syntagma Square (and the Syntagma metro stop — line 3), and the Monastiraki metro stop (lines 2 and 3).
Public Transport (from the Athens International Airport to the conference venue)
o The metro (blue Line 3) connects the airport to Syntagma square. Departures are every 30 minutes, and the trip takes around 35 minutes (9 euros for a single ticket). **Please be aware that from Sunday to Thursday there are modifications affecting the metro service in the evening due to rail replacement works (https://www.stasy.gr/en/timetables/line-3/#diarkeia).**
o A bus service (Bus X95) connects the airport to Syntagma square every 15–20 minutes during the day (24-hour service; 5.5 euros for a single ticket). The duration of the trip depends on traffic and on the time of day, but it is approximately 60 minutes.
o The conference venue is at a 15-minute walk from both the bus and the metro stops.
