About ASSOS2022

The Athens Summer School on Organic Synthesis 2021 (ASSOS2022) belongs to a series of Summer School events, hosted in Athens, Greece. The mission of the summer school is to introduce hot and emerging areas of Organic Synthesis to students and young researchers, as well as, to renew the interest or acquaintance of novel research areas to experienced researchers or members of Chemical Industry. The summer school targets to be an international event, where researchers from all over the world, including Greece, will come together, explore and discuss the main areas of interest that each School event will be dedicated to. Bringing together young and experienced researchers is expected to create strong bonds between organic synthetic chemists and to flourish new ideas and collaborations on the particular topics of the school. ASSOS2022 will be dedicated to new and sustainable methodologies and technologies, discussing cutting-edge both emerging and established hot areas of research in Organic Synthesis, such as Mechanochemistry, Photochemistry, Continuous Flow Chemistry and their Applications in Organic Synthesis of Medicinally Interesting Compounds and in Chemical Industry. Particular interest will be given to green, environmentally friendly and sustainable methodologies that may find applications in chemical industry, including pharmaceutical industry and fine chemical industry. ASSOS2022 is organized in a face-to-face format.
