The MA Programs “Greek and Eastern Mediterranean Archaeology” and “Archaeology and History of the Ancient World: from Prehistory to Late Antiquity” of the Department of History and Archaeology invite current and former postgraduate students, as well as PhD candidates, to submit papers for the 2nd MEDITARCH – ANCIENT WORLD conference. The event will be held in hybrid format on 17 October 2025 at the Library Auditorium, School of Philosophy, University Campus Zografou.

Building on the success of our first conference, this year’s conference expands its thematic scope to include Ancient History and Museology, while maintaining a core focus on Mediterranean Civilisations. MEDITARCH – ANCIENT WORLD aims to provide a vibrant academic platform for postgraduate and doctoral students of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA), offering an opportunity to present and reflect on their research, and to engage in constructive scholarly dialogue. It is also our intention to publish the papers presented at the conference. All submissions will be subject to peer review.
